Lenta swings to 2.5 bln rbl IFRS net loss in January–March

MOSCOW, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- Russian grocery retailer Lenta posted a 2.507 billion ruble net loss in January–March after a 735 million ruble net profit in the same period of 2022, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Monday.

Revenue shrank by 5.8% on the year to 124.64 billion rubles in the period, including the retail sales that fell by 6.2% to 122.5 billion rubles.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization plummeted by 61.9% to 2.625 billion rubles, and gross profit decreased by 19.6% to 24.146 billion rubles.
